Petrune, It’s All Over Your Internet!

Thursday, March 15th, 2012

Though we’re a vintage clothing store, we like to think that we’re pretty tech-savvy and able to sail the seas of the internet with the best of ‘em. If you simply cannot get enough Petrune (we know we can’t), treat yourself! Here are some easy ways, aided by technology, that you can have Petrune in your life everyday!

Facebook - Like our page for updates on sales and events around the store. We post pictures of our favorite items in the store every day!

Tumblr - Just got one of these, and we love it so much! Follow for a more casual look at some of our favorite items, inspiration from around Ithaca, and general pretty-picture fun times.

Etsy - Some of our rarest and most beautiful items go up in the Etsy store, so that they can reach the largest audience possible. You’ll find stars there from past window displays, Downton-Abbey-worthy Victorian garb, and some truly unique antiques.

Twitter - Follow our Petrune tweets about vintage fashion and fun!

Pas Cher Chic featuring Petrune

Thursday, December 29th, 2011

When Jenna, purveyor of fashionable things over at Pas Cher Chic, approached us about featuring Petrune in a blog post, we were pretty psyched. Her blog over at pascherchic always has amazing styling ideas and a really unique point of view, whether she’s at a vintage boutique, a thrift store, or H&M.

We were especially excited when she totally pulled of a couple pairs of leather 80′s pants. We’ve been waiting for someone to come along with the cojones to rock those! Jenna and her sister modeled a number of super sassy red, black, and white themed looks, calling to mind our beloved White Stripes. And really, when the White Stripes are even tangentially involved, there’s no way to deny the awesome factor.

Here’s a few of our fave looks, but be sure to check out her blog for two posts of Petrune goodness!

A Petrune Party with IMPP!

Tuesday, November 8th, 2011

As beautiful as the clothing in Petrune is, and as wonderfully creative as our window designs are, it is sometimes forgotten that we can throw an awfully classy cocktail party.

To show off this little-known skill, we teamed up with Ithaca Motion Picture Project for their most recent exhibit “Romance, Exploits, and Peril: When Movies were Made in Ithaca.” As part of an exhibit that spanned several local businesses, including Gimme!, the State Theater, the local library, and more, we honored Ithaca’s history as a beacon of filmmaking almost 100 years ago. The cherry on top was a reception we held this past Friday, for lovers of film, fashion, food, and friends.

So many of our attendees looked like stars of the silver screen themselves, we thought it’d be criminal not to share some snaps from the party with y’all. Especially the guy in the skinny tie. Skinny ties are amazing. See the photos after the jump!

Their products are hand grown, handpicked, and handcrafted to make the most sumptuously natural skin care experience imaginable.
